The HVCA Employers Guide has been developed in response to requests from members seeking advice on changing education and training arrangements. The Guide provides sound guidance and signposting to complement additional, more detailed information sources. It covers the training angle on Apprenticeships, Accreditation of Prior Learning, experienced workers SKILLcard, Inspection and Assessment, and demonstrates the added value effective planning and investment in training can have on a business. It explains how employers can influence training locally and nationally and includes information on both existing employees and new entrance adults as well as young people. The educational website looks at key topics such as school leavers, adult new entrants and existing workers in our industry. This publication introduces the reader to the many diverse and exciting careers within the hvacr industry.
