TM44
Inspection of Air-Conditioning Systems
TM44 provides guidance on carrying out the required inspections within reasonable constraints of time, cost and skills, including specific guidance on generating advice for the user, on a consistent basis. Engineers and energy managers responsible for these systems need to consider how they will comply with the new rules. For systems over 250kw they had until January 2009 to complete the first inspections, and until January 2011 for systems over 12kw. TM44 also indicates how building owners and managers should be advised to prepare and keep information from all these inspections so that the time needed to carry them out, and hence their cost, can be minimised.
